With a few weeks left in July can Lindsay add to her already impressive list of scandals and abuses? She's wacked welfarism, polaxed prisons, trashed teenage pregancy, dumped on the DPB, flayed father-less-families, stuck it to school exams but championed corporatising school lunches, monstered Maori gambling, beat back breast feeding zealots, attacked addicts for having families, and finally, slapped Sir Bob Geldof back into his box for daring to suggest government might increase their foreign aid.
Ena Sharples would be proud!

I'd like to nominate Maia's Capitalism Bad Tree Pretty blog particularly on the recent blog about a rapist, war-mongering scum bag who has yet to inflict his filthy ways on the world because he's a toddler.
Actually, I have commented on her blog too though I think I'll leave her alone, she's copped her fair share.

span, I thought crasster might have replied - he's more than capable of defending his corner in my experience.
On bit of contextual information; crasster, like me, is the father of a young one and possibly objected to the slightly deterministic theme in Maia's post (I did).

I think I can understand why people were upset by Maia's post, particularly men and particularly fathers.
Let's face it, she frequently posts things that aren't going to make her any friends outside of feminist circles. But it doesn't mean she's wrong, and it doesn't mean she shouldn't write them if she wants to.
Sadly I suspect the whole incident will have had a chilling effect and that you will find Maia much less offensive in future. But also less challenging. I think that would be a sad loss.

Good points; she ought to give voice to matters of real concern to her and to others that share her point of view - that's one of the most obvious advantages of blogging.
