The Obamanator

How some see Barack...

Arnold Schwarzenegger's Face Combined with Barack Obama -

is a little different to others...

The faces of Barack Obama and Osama Bin Laden combined together -

Hat-tip: browncardigan (I swear we've got different audiences, it's the only reason I shamelessly copy all your stuff).

You should be ashamed of yourself posting a picture of Barack Obama and Osama Bin Laden mixed. This picture just fuels the hatred for Obama. As a country, we need to take a stand against racism and other forms of discrimination, and this picture is not helping.

Please take it down.

Anon, my point was in the contrast. Whereas some see Obama as a hero, others see him as a terrorist. Still, I'm not insensitive to your point. If someone had developed a similar picture of my country's leader, I'd have possibly been offended. I should say two things however. Firstly, I greatly admire Barack Obama. He's a truly inspirational leader who is showing courage and vision where there's been almost none. Secondly, politics and politicians must be able to sustain parody and criticm. The ridiculousness of the criticisms of Obama, the unbelievable stupidity of them is laughable. The suggestion that he might be a muslim and that that would make him unfit for office. The faux-scandal about his citizenship. The fist-bump. All so ridiculous, so crazy and paranoid. These are the targets of my post; the people who'd demonise Obama because of his name, his race and his life.

I hope this explains what motivated my post.

As an American you must soon realize you will have no one to confide in if you continue this form of retoric.
You should be caught, tried to the fullest extent of the law and then set in a political forum to receive your sentence.
I personally have had enough of you ignorant people. You don't even deserve to be treated like an adult of sound mind. But you should be hanged, from the highest point for all to see where the real problem lies. If you didn't vote for him that is fine, I did not vote for him either but I must respect the constitution of the United States of America and honor the President of the United states for at least the next 4 years if not 8. Not only that, but did you ever think about the fact that the last few presidents did not do much better according to your wants and needs? We have been in danger for a long long time now and it won't get any better until we all stand up and releive our selves from the congressmen and senators that continually lie to their own constituants.

Here's an idea...Get an education son, then try to peice together in that little brain of yours what Democracy, and freedom really mean. For years now factions, hate groups, and even political groups have formed a trivial pursuit in attempts to change things their way. They spend weeks even months looking for loop-holes in the constitution in order to destroy our god given beliefs as well as our understanding of what is right and wrong.
The gay community, The pro-choice activists, The a.c.l.u., Mothers against drunk drivers, They ALL start with a gainful cause and once they achieve that goal, they ALL begin pushing new agendas...Don't you see?

Wow. I don't know if the anonymous comments here are all the same person but they're increasingly odd and irreconcilable.

I didn't vote for Obama 'cause I'm not a US citizen. Were I, I most certainly would have. He appears to be the finest leader of a generation. I wish him well.

As for the comments about progressive activists, I don't agree that they are all guilty of mission-creep and I'd be a member of some of the Australian-equivalents to the US examples you cite.

Feel free to comment further but it'd be nice if you acknowledge some of the points of clarification I've made... oh and I got me plenty of education thanks.

Hey, I never said anything about President Obama could not or was not a fine leader. All I said was I did not vote for him. And further more if you read exactly what I said you would understand, that the problem I explained had nothing to do with the "Content of His character" either. What I said was the problems lie with our congressmen and senators who lobby with rediculous factions who think they know what is good for the people, rather than listening to what the people truly want. Duh, we now have a president who agrees with the people that we are tired of lobbiests making all the rules with their deep pockets and bribes to elected officials. Now then I'm guessing you are an austrailian on a visa, and couldn't recite any of the crucial documents needed to become a U.S.citizen even if we accepted you. And by the way, the last sentence was a gas too. But, if you would have said I have plenty of education instead of "I got me plenty of education" I just may have given you some merrit for misunderstanding my comment in the first place. Yet you chose to speak down to me as if I were some backwoods "REDNECK" and thats where you lost your credibility...

Merrit? Good god. The 'got me some education' was meant to be funny, sorry it wasn't.

No I'm not an Australian in the US, why assume I'm in the US? I'm in Australia.

I don't think I spoke down to you but you've been more than a little insulting so I may soon enough.

Perhaps you could just simply tell me what's bothering you and I'll happily leave it at that.

Your wasting my time. Here in America most valid citizens take part in our democracy. We don't "make fun" as you call it. Aren't you the country who back in 1996 willingly gave up your absolute right to bare arms and even left the equestrian team out to dry and violated their own right to practice for the olympics on Austrailian soil??? Yet, You have the time to"make fun" of another nation and it's people?

WTF? We're now equating something that happened at the ponies with the US presidency? I've no idea what you're on about anymore but can I suggest you check your homonyms (and apostrophes too). Incidentally, most "valid citizens" in the US don't vote. Yours is a low-engagement democracy.

Mate if we had it your way this board wouldn't exist and you wouldn't have the right to express your opinion.

You are likened to Hitler and Stalin by saying things like that.

@ Anonymous, you are an amazing hypocrite. You profess to be an American yet you condemn those who exercise their right to free speech... Congratulations, you are just like the rest of the ignorant bible thumping, no-toothed redneck hicks from the deep south who think that hyper-patriotism is the American way. Congratulations. This country was founded on dissent, and it is dissent that makes us Americans. Shut the fuck up you ignorant piece of shit.
